Asif Basra’s Sudden Suicide: Another massive blow for our Bollywood Industry
Bollywood Industry losses another familiar face as actor Asif Basra passes away committing suicide this Thursday. According to various sources, somebody saw this man hanging in his private residential complex in Dharamshala.
For the last five years, Basra has been living in a rented house in McLeod Ganj, in Upper Dharamshala. Reports tell that he had hung himself around 12:30 on 12th Nov 2020. His body is in for post-mortem for further investigation has been informed by Vimukt Ranjan, the Kangra Senior Superintendent of Police.
Asif Basra was just 53 and was one of the well-known actors in our Bollywood Industry. During his two-decade career, he had featured many hits like ‘Black Friday,’ ‘Krrish 3’, ‘Ek Villain,’ and many more. He had even played a pivotal role in ‘Kai Po Che’ in which Sushant Singh Rajput played the leading role.
Besides movies, we have even seen him acting in the very recent well-known web series like ‘Paatal Lok,’ and ‘Hostages.’ He had also featured in several international films like ‘Outsourced’ and ‘One Night with the King’ with Omar Sharif and Peter O’Toole. Apart from this, this man has even conducted several workshops to train people in leadership, communication, and team building at the workplace.
Since the lockdown has started, our Bollywood industry has faced a lot of hardships and disgrace. After SSR’s Suicide case, Asif Basra’s suicide will surely be another awful news for our Bollywood industry.
Several directors and actors who have come across this news have expressed their grief and shock worldwide. Not only celebrities but people on the internet have also poured condolences on Twitter.
Further investigations on this case might open up many other new possibilities as it happened after SSR’s death. If this happens, this will surely be another shameful aspect of our Bollywood Industry.
